Cappadocia is known around the world as one of the best place to fly with hot air balloons. The spectacular and surrealistic landscapes combined with the excellent flying conditions allow the balloons to gently drift over and between fairy chimneys; pigeon houses, orchards and vineyards; through impressive valleys; and then float up over rippled ravines for breathtaking views over the region.

Cappadocia is the ancient and modern name of a remarkable region of Central Anatolia. It is a geological wonderland. There is two main tours in Cappadocia: Red and Green tours. The Red tour will take you to the North part of Cappadocia. The main stops are Göreme Open Air Museum, Avanos and Ürgüp. The Green tour will take you to the South part of Cappadocia. The main stops are Derinkuyu Underground City, Ilhara Valley and Selime Monastery.

All tours are running everyday and departing at 9:30 with a pick-up from our hotel and finishing around 17:00. The group size is limited to 18 people.

Hiking in Göreme National Park is the closest thing you can do to walking on the moon. The amazing varity of land forms such as fairy chimneys and eroded bedrocks are typical promises of Cappadocia region that continue blowing of our visitors minds. We provide to all our guests a hiking map of the Göreme National Park. With it,  you will easily see that we are surrounded by many valleys, that all are within walking distance from our hotel. If you are interested in hiking around the National Park, our receptionists will be happy to provide you advices and directions.

We highly recommend prior experience if you are thinking to go on a horse riding asit is an off-road free ride and is not offered within the horse ranch. The ride will take you to Rose, Red and Love Valley and Çavusin old town. For your information, Cappadocia means the “land of beautiful horses” in ancient Persian language, and it is derived from the name of our region which was Katpatuka.

If you are interested in Sufism and want to see a Sema Ceremony at some point in Turkey, the ceremony offered at Saruhan Caravanserai in Cappadocia is one of the best. It is located in Avanos town, in an old renovated Caravanserai through which the ancient Silk Road was passing. It used to be one of the camel-stops separated by 80 km for travelling businessmen on a long journey to reach Istanbul and the Grand Bazaar.

This adventurous activity will take you, twice a day ( morning or sunset time), to Pigeon Valley, Ibrahimpasha village,  Ortahisar, to Pancarlik and Uzengi Valleys, Mustafapasha old greek town and Love Valley. You will also have a small picnic in the valley.

ATV ride is an exciting way to visit Göreme’s valleys. Similar tracks around the National Park (Rose Valley, Red Valley, Çavuşin, Love Valley) than the horse-back riding. Also a guided tour.
